“Exceptional Limo Service,” a limo service provider in Toronto Ontario, is now adding VIP bodyguards to their executive provisions.
In our opinion, all but few limo services should provide this. Whether they have their own hired bodyguards, or outsource, each limo company should strive to protect those they are sending out to nightlife or important events. If you think about it, limo’s aren’t for those who enjoy looking after themselves during a certain timeframe. Whether they want to let loose, have business to take care of, or simply want the role of getting themselves from one place to another left to a professional company, they most certainly fit the profile of someone needing protection.
Of course that poses a problem for costs. Bodyguards don’t and never should get paid the same as drivers do, for the simple fact of what’s at stake for a bodyguard; but even most drivers are taken care of pretty well these days. If you own a limo company and do not want to cover the costs of having a team of bodyguards, then simply outsource or hire freelancers. It’s not hard to find a great bodyguard in your area.

Not what your thinking – it’s not one action packed star or world leader altercation where to famous people argue, only ending in an epic battle between their bodyguards.
A story broke out yesterday where a bodyguard took the life of, not another bodyguard stranger, but of his own teammate & colleague. The client they were protecting had just let his bodyguards off duty, and something happened between two of them. Sources say the story is unclear simply because, well, one of them is dead. The killer bodyguard strangled his partner with a necktie.
Fishy story..what do you make of it? Leave a comment below, or click here for more info about the incident.

It’s no secret a healthy bodyguard is necessary. How can you protect the well-being of a client when yours is way off? It’s just as important as a good fitness schedule to have a good food intake to support your lifestyle. Here are some tips to make sure your client’s “protection machine” is fueling up correctly:
• Fruits and Vegetables
Your mama always said it, and it still is true today. Eat these, and you’ll find energy you can’t even imagine.
• Protein
Standing for long hours and doing strenuous activities both call for protein to keep your body functioning correctly. Fill your diet with lean meats or protein supplements. Our favorite is Boost, a protein and vitamin supplement. There are many different products out there, so feel free to leave your favorite in the comment section below.
• Carbohydrates (Pasta, etc)
Fueling yourself will carbs gives you energy to succeed on your task.
• Daily Vitamines
Decide which vitamins you are not getting enough of, and fill that void with a supplement that supplies it thoroughly. Things such as calcium (found in milk and calcium tablets) are very important to ensure you do not break bones while on the job. Other vitamins prove essential for other important bodily functions.
Along with this simple diet, make sure to get plenty of excersise. It is recommended that you perform some type of work out each day, for as a bodyguard you may be required to perform extensive strenuous physical feats.

Anna Loginova started as a model, but she shortly after became well-known as a trained bodyguard for prestigious clients. During her modeling career, she worked for Chanel and BMW. She also appeared nearly naked in Russia’s Maxim magazine. Later, she began martial arts training (included was jiu jitsu), and then started a female bodyguard firm called Stilet. She believed that men should have female bodyguards instead of male, for many different reasons. The first reason was simply because males were tired of having male bodyguards, or so she says.
But another interesting reason, which makes sense, is she believed that females made better dinner partners, and would be invited inside a social setting, while a male bodyguard in a suit may be asked to wait in a lobby. Anna had prevented quite a few attacks in her lifetime, including a carjacking. She later fell on the bad side of a car jacking, which ended her life. On January 27th, 2008 (at 29 years old), someone pushed her out of her Porsche Cayenne, and attempted to steal it. Anna held on to the handle too long, and suffered fatal head trauma as a result. Anna will be remembered by her passion – one that will not be forgotten by female bodyguards world-wide.

We don’t typically see on-point articles dealing with the lives of bodyguards, but take Ask Men’s “How To: Become A Bodyguard” as an exception. This article contains the humors and realities of the executive protection job description.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT DO THIS UNLESS YOU ARE 1) PERMITTED TO CARRY A CONCEALED WEAPON, 2) IN A LIFE THREATENING CIRCUMSTANCE. and 3) USING YOUR OWN REGISTERED FIREARM.
Do you find yourself needing to walk through a highly dangerous area, one known for muggings or other weapons related crimes? Some experts say that keeping your gun in your coat pocket could save your life.
The mugger wants your wallet, right? Why not reach in and get it for him? Only instead, you’ll have your handgun inside the pocket waiting. Do NOT pull it out, just shoot through the jacket! Now, in my opinion, it’s always better to just give the person your wallet. But if you can see their intention is to take your life, do not hesitate.
Again, this technique is only to be used if you have someone attacking you with intention to kill you.
